We cordially invite you to participate in the Educational Research Association of Singapore International Conference and the World Education Research Association Focal Meeting (ERAS-WERA) 2023 to be held at the National Institute of Education / Nanyang Technological University, Singapore from 22 to 24 November 2023.

The ERAS International Conference and WERA Focal Meeting 2023 is co-hosted by ERAS, WERA and the National Institute of Education / Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Established in 1986, ERAS strives to promote the cause of educational excellence in Singapore and the region via the conduct, promotion and use of relevant educational research.

WERA is an association of major national, regional, and specialty education research associations dedicated to sharing scholarship, developing networks, and mutually supporting capacity building. ERAS is a founding member of WERA.

Each year, WERA holds a Focal Meeting in conjunction with the Regular Meeting of a WERA member association. Previous WERA Focal Meetings have been held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2010); Kaohsiung, Taiwan (2011); Sydney, Australia (2012); Guanajuato, Mexico (2013); Edinburgh, Scotland (2014); Budapest, Hungary (2015); Washington DC, USA (2016); Hong Kong, China (2017); Tokyo, Japan (2019); Santiago de Compostela, Spain (2021); and San Diego CA, USA (2022). ERAS, in turn, has previously co-hosted conferences with the Asia-Pacific Educational Research Association (APERA) in 2008 and 2018 as well as with the International SELF Research Centre in 2013. The ERAS International Conference and WERA Focal Meeting 2023 continues the honoured tradition of fostering research collaboration, sharing, learning and networking amongst the international community of educators, researchers and students.

The ERAS-WERA International Conference and Focal Meeting 2023 aims to highlight of new technologies, techniques and tools in education. As one of the first educational conferences to be held after the pandemic, we hope to gather educational professionals from around the world to share unique challenges, solutions, and progress made due to the pandemic.

The ERAS-WERA International Conference and Focal Meeting 2023 will explore the theme, “Forging Ahead: Transforming Education in a Rapidly Changing World” as well as other educational issues of concern in a post-pandemic world. The conference will bring together speakers and practitioners who would address areas such as assessment, curriculum studies, character and citizenship education, diverse and inclusive education, early childhood education, educational policy research, emergent technologies and education, leadership and education, post-COVID teaching and learning, sustainability education, well-being and education, teacher education and professional development, as well as motivation and learning.
