Job Responsibilities

High school mathematics teachers at KPIS engage Grades 9 to 12 students in dynamic instruction in mathematical concepts that align with the California Common Core State Standards in Mathematics. Courses currently offered at KPIS include Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Advanced Placement classes . Teachers will teach high school students in classes of up to 25 students and collaborate with colleagues in professional learning communities focused on student learning, growth, and preparation for high school and beyond.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
> Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, mathematics education, or a related field
> Be eligible for a Teaching Council of Thailand teaching license
> Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary school level
> Fluency in the English language
> Two letters of recommendation from previous employers

Preferred
> Masters degree or higher in mathematics, mathematics education, or a related field
> Experience teaching students who speak English as an additional language
> At least 2 years experience teaching in western and international settings
> Experience with standards-based assessment, curriculum design, data-based instructional planning, and educational technology.

About the Organization

Established in 2005, Keerapat International School (KPIS) is a privately-owned international school located in the suburban Bang Khen district of Bangkok, about 20 kilometers from the city center. The school serves students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12 and offers an enhanced American curriculum based primarily on the U.S. Common Core State Standards for literacy and mathematics, the Next Generation Science Standards, and a customized form of the California State Content Standards for selected subjects. The curriculum is enhanced with education in local languages and culture and with Advanced Placement (AP) and pre-AP classes for advanced high school students.
