Senior Head, Higher Education Policy


Job Responsibilities

• Facilitate the oversight of long-term planning of polytechnic and ITE education including setting out strategic directions, resourcing, enhancing capacity and capabilities of the institutions
• Drive policies that influence polytechnic and ITE education in tandem with evolving economic needs, technological changes and individual aspirations including efforts to support technology-enabled learning and lifelong learning
• Develop policies that shape the polytechnic and ITE landscape including student admissions, articulation pathways and support for different student profiles
• Coordinate the polytechnic and ITE sector’s responses to the COVID-19 situation ranging from developing policy positions and operations policy guidelines to working closely with each institution on their implementation to ensure follow-through and compliance
• Work closely with the polytechnics, ITE and other government agencies to develop an appreciation of the higher education landscape

This is an individual contributor role. We welcome individuals with or without work experience to apply for the position.


• Strong analytical ability, quantitative and strategic perspective
• Good writing and communication skills
• Ability to work with large datasets, elicit key insights and present implications to facilitate policy reviews
• Highly motivated individual with the ability to work well independently as well as in teams
