Job Responsibilities

We seek a highly talented, competent, and passionate team player who who will support in the elevation of NTU’s brand and visibility in India & ASEAN. The candidate will work closely with Director, Global Marketing in planning and executing a high impact and customized marketing strategy for expanding partnerships in education, research, and innovation to grow NTU’s reputation and impact. This colleague would also be a contributor to driving effective governance in the areas of operations and office administration of Global Marketing. The incumbent will engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including with senior leadership and work closely with OIE team colleagues.

Responsibilities:
- Formulating and executing customized and compelling country marketing strategies that would aim to raise NTU’s global reputation visibility and brand, and the esteem in which it is held around the world to reflect its rise in rankings and communicate the depth and impact of its work. The aim would be to elevate NTU’s brand by articulating a cogent narrative of its distinct offerings in education, research, and innovation. It would help facilitate the below outcomes for NTU’s colleges, schools and institutes:
- Academic Partnerships: Grow high impact academic and research partnerships through expanding and deepening NTU's alliances with preeminent universities, think tanks and research labs.
- Education: Increase the university's recruitment of the best and brightest students for Masters, Ph.D. programmes.
- Industry Alliances: Expand partnerships with industry for securing internships and placements for NTU students. Setting up visits to the best start-ups and unicorns for innovation and entrepreneurship exposure and immersion
- Alumni & Donors: Grow more partnerships with donors and deepen relations with NTU alumni.
- Planning and executing targeted outreach and country visits with senior most stakeholders in government, industry, academia, and media.
- Curating in-country high profile thought leadership events with senior leadership and faculty that effectively project NTU’s leadership in targeted areas.
- Identifying opportunities in regional media for raising the profile of NTU. Successfully pitching NTU senior management and faculty for securing media coverage.
- Proactively, securing speaking opportunities in global conferences with the aim of highlighting the university's achievements, growth, and global impact in research, education, and innovation.
- Producing sophisticated, customized, and compelling narratives, messaging and marketing content and collaterals to promote the University’s brand amongst diverse stakeholders. These would include promotional videos, brochures as well as digital media campaigns.
- Developing a market entry strategy for conducting Executive Education programmes with the Indian government for capacity building of the civil services.
- Developing and maintaining country databases and facilitating high profile visits to campus.
- Organising alumni events in close partnership with UAO and NTU colleges and schools.
- Leveraging Singapore embassies and diplomats for promoting the NTU brand.
- Managing India & ASEAN related relationships & agreements as assigned.
- Managing on-campus events for hosting branded speaker series from India & ASEAN
- Performs administrative activities as assigned, including but not limited to the support of office operations and operating procedures to improve efficiencies and transparency
- Prepares meeting materials and develops PowerPoint presentations.
- Records minutes at various meetings and ensures follow up.
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time based on the OIE operations and needs.

Requirements

- University graduate with a master’s degree, with at least 10-years of experience in strategic marketing, branding, communications, PR, and event management, preferably in a university environment.
- Experience in networking and developing relations with academia, industry, government, diplomats, media, alumni, and other strategic organisations in India & ASEAN. An established network of contacts overseas is considered an advantage
- Understanding of geopolitics and business culture of India & ASEAN.
- Experience in an academic/research institution setting will be advantageous.
