Job Responsibilities

The main role is to maintain and ensure smooth running of University Learning Management System for all the users (students, faculty and staff) in the University, which includes user support, evaluation and testing out new functionalities. The main purpose is to operate LMS technical services and ensure optimal user experience in eLearning systems and applications.

- Administer and operate enterprise level eLearning systems and applications through industry best practices and exploration of emerging technologies to achieve efficient system management.
- Perform system planning and change requests, and proactively monitor IT systems and recommend enhancements/upgrades when necessary.
- Implement projects, from understanding and analysing requirements, providing technical advice, to implementing new systems changes and coordinating activities.
- Work closely with eLearning system vendors on the customisation, technical support, system upgrade, content migration, testing and resolution of any technical issue related to system implementation.
- Participate in university-wide events.
- Perform other duties or functions as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with at least two years of experience in LINUX/Windows system administration, database administration, storage administration, capacity planning, business continuity management and application performance monitoring/tuning.
- Certification on Oracle DBA, Project Management Professional (PMP) and ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) would be advantageous.
- Hands-on system administration experience in at least 3 of the following IT service management platforms would be preferred:
* Learning Management System (e.g. Canvas).
* Cloud Infrastructure/Network/Security Administration (e.g. Amazon Web Services).
* IT Security System (e.g. Trend Micro Deep Security, Qualys).
* Application Performance Monitoring System (e.g. Dynatrace).
* Web Single-Sign-On (SSO) platform (e.g. SAML).
* Robotic Process Automation system (e.g. UiPath, UiVision).
* SSL Certificate Management (e.g. DigiCert).
* Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (e.g. Salesforce).
- Excellent technical and analytical skills.
- Possess initiative and able to work independently.
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Technically inclined and possess keen interest in emerging technologies.
