We are a private grant-maker based in Singapore. Our vision is to empower children and youth, so they have equitable opportunities to excel as citizens and contribute to a better world, irrespective of their socio-economic background.
We specifically support organisations and programmes that:
- Enable learning attainment, skills development and or employability for underserved children and youth
- Have promise of impact and scale
- Strengthen the pillars of home, learning, and society
We also provide bursaries in the form of study awards to motivated youth from underserved communities to access tertiary education.
Octava Foundation has launched the Octava Social Innovation Challenge on July 15th, powered by MIT Solve. The Challenge is an award program with access to grant capital and technical support program to early-stage EdTech enterprises in Southeast Asia.
The Challenge is aimed at identifying and supporting accessible and affordable EdTech solutions that improve learning outcomes for underserved K-12 learners in 5 Southeast Asian countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. The Challenge is now open for entrepreneurs and start-ups with an education solution harnessing technology or with a technological solution that is enabling learning, to submit their solutions.
