The Associate Director of Programmes provides artistic and executive leadership of the Programmes department at ArtScience Museum. The post-holder will devise the vision for the department, in close dialogue with the Executive Director, and oversee the delivery of relevant and dynamic programmes that enhance and complement the museum’s mission.
At least 5 years of professional experience and a demonstratable record of achievement in the arts, cultural, film, science or education sector
Proven experience in delivering a range of public programmes and educational activities for a large and diverse audience
A proven understanding of audience engagement in an arts, film, and/or science context
Demonstratable experience of finance and budget planning
Proven experience of managing people, staff development and team building
Proven experience of working in partnership with stakeholders and other organisations
Experience in working within a museum or gallery
Experience in working in a technology or science organization;
Experience of delivering art or science programmes of international significance
Experience of delivering ticketed programmes with set revenue targets
Experience in communications and/or marketing

ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands is the cultural institution in Singapore that explores the intersection between art, science, technology and culture. Since opening in February 2011, the museum has staged large-scale exhibitions by some of the world’s major artists, including Leonardo da Vinci, Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, Vincent Van Gogh, and M.C. Escher, as well as showing work by contemporary artists including Theo Jansen, Lynette Wallworth, Ryoji Ikeda, Yang Yongliang, Semiconductor, Olafur Eliasson, Anish Kapoor, Mariko Mori and many more. The museum has also presented significant exhibitions that explore aspects of science, including big data, particle physics, natural history, marine biology, cosmology and space exploration.
