The ISTE Edtech Leader Certification focuses on pedagogical transformation rather than just learning specific tools. Educators will be equipped to lead and advocate for system-wide technology integration that genuinely transforms pedagogy across their organization. Moving beyond the mastery of specific digital tools, participants will learn to champion digital equity and design authentic, learner-driven environments. Furthermore, they will develop the skills to evaluate instructional practices and drive data-informed decisions that truly serve all learners.

Objectives

The ISTE+ASCD Edtech Leader Certification is a two-phase, portfolio-based professional learning experience that certifies educators' ability to transform instruction through technology, aligned to the seven ISTE Educator Standards. It is formerly known as the ISTE Educator Certification. The program is designed for anyone who works with a group of learners—including K–12 classroom teachers, instructional coaches, department chairs, higher education faculty, building administrators, and corporate trainers.
