Island Sustainability & Local Wisdom

Experience the richness of Sasak culture and the environmental diversity of Lombok. Students will learn about conservation through turtle release and beach clean-ups, connect with local schools, and participate in traditional crafts and cultural performances in rural villages.

Day 1: Arrival, learn about endangered species and turtle conservation at Senggigi beach, beach cleaning and turtle release
Day 2: Learn at local school with local students, social work, and books donation for students
Day 3: Sasak Village tour, experience the performance of “paresean warrior dance”, visit to Mandalika Motor GP
Day 4: Island hopping of Gili Terawangan, Meno and Air (snorkeling is included)
Day 5: Free program

Experiential Learning: Turtle conservation, beach clean-up, and weaving and pottery workshops.
Cultural Engagement: Participation in Sasak warrior dance and visits to traditional villages.
Collaborative Activities: Group teaching projects and games at local schools.
Field-Based Observation: Exploration of marine life and environmental practices through island-hopping.
Language & Social Learning: English use in real-life contexts and interactions with locals.
Reflection & Sharing: End-of-day group reflections to consolidate learning outcomes and cultural insights.
