Robotics Makerspace

Robotics Makerspace (Ages 6 to 8)

Did you know there's currently a large gap in students' confidence in STEM subjects? Build your students’ confidence in learning while helping them develop 21st-century skills through Robotics. Students will be engaged in building, coding, and testing Lego robots using Spike Prime and VEX kits. Students will build their confidence in problem solving, building, and team-work as they create and code robots such as “Bottecelli,” “Sumo,” “Golf,” & “Roller Coaster” then get creative as they solve fun and exciting challenges.

Using both the Lego WeDo and VEX Robotics your child will build numerous Robots based on the Olympics. Campers will build robots for different events such as shot put, sprinting, climbing, and wrestling. Campers will be introduced to programming using simple block coding inside the VEX classroom software. Every day we will have mini competitions where campers compete against each other (and in teams) to see who can build the best Robot. All in all, a fun camp and a great introduction to Robotics and Coding.

Robotics Makerspace (Ages 9 to 12)

Using the Lego Spike and VEX kits campers will enjoy many fun, hands-on projects building and programming Robots. Campers will spend the week brainstorming, building and experimenting with these amazing robots, all the while developing creativity, imagination and problem-solving skills. Campers will also learn to code using VEX and Spike software and be expected to then use these coding skills to solve daily challenges. A challenging but super fun Camp.
