Course Objectives:
Introduction to Korean Art:
Students will explore the expansive realm of Korean art, gaining insights into its historical evolution, thematic diversity, and cultural significance.Interplay of K-Pop and Korean Art:
This section delves into the fascinating roots of K-pop in both traditional and contemporary Korean art. Students will examine how K-pop culture draws inspiration from Korean art, paying homage to it through media, fashion, and other forms of expression. Additionally, they will observe how K-pop stars engage with Korean art, often collecting and promoting it.Exploring Korean Art Flows and Movements:
Students will gain an understanding of key movements that have shaped Korean art history. This exploration will deepen their appreciation of various art forms and their role in shaping Korean cultural identity.

A prospective participant in the KU International Summer Program must meet ALL of the following eligibility criteria:
A student who is enrolled in an accredited college or university
A student who is able to take college-level courses in English
A student who is admitted to a unviersity-level institution for upcoming fall
